These four things answer most questions on the first reply:

• Your macOS version, from the Apple menu, then About This Mac.
• The Blinders version, from the menu bar item.
• The apps in the profile that was on at the time.
• What you expected, and what happened instead.

macOS 14 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

Blinders asks for no privacy permission. If any window ever asks you to grant accessibility access for Blinders, it did not come from Blinders.

System Settings, Spotlight, Control Center, Finder and the login window always get through, whatever your profile says.

A click or the Escape key clears the black screen at once, and the menu bar item is always there. Choose it to turn the blinders off.

It cannot clean up the Command Tab switcher. To take an app out of the switcher, an app needs accessibility access, and no App Store app can have it. A blocked app still appears there. Choose it and Blinders returns you at once.

It cannot block a single website yet. A profile approves whole apps, so approving your browser approves every site in it. Control at the level of the tab is the next thing to build.

macOS lets no app filter the notifications of another app. A macOS Focus can do it, and Blinders turns one on for you through the Shortcuts app. You set this up one time.

1. In the Shortcuts app, make a shortcut with the "Set Focus" action, and give it a name. Make a second one that turns the Focus off.
2. In System Settings, then Focus, allow the same apps that your Blinders profile approves.
3. In Blinders, open Settings, then Notifications. Put both names in the fields, then press Test.

Apple takes every payment and gives every refund. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We never see your payment details.

Blinders collects nothing. The privacy page says what it stores and what it reads.
